Seaweed to the rescue of copper? We innovate to make a positive impact on the mining industry.
Controlling dust emissions, optimizing water use, and operating in an increasingly sustainable manner are the environmental challenges facing mining companies in northern Chile.
Together with our Canadian partner MetaFLO Technologies Inc., we launched DusTech, a dust suppressant made from seaweed. With a more effective residual effect than water or bischofite, this disruptive solution helps reduce particle dispersion on mine roads and improve operational conditions by reducing the frequency of application by water trucks:
- Lower CO₂ emissions
- Lower water consumption
- Lower risk of accidents
- Lower operating costs
The future of sustainability is built through smart solutions that balance productivity, safety, and respect for the environment.
From 8 to 11 of June, we attented Exponor 2026 alongside our partner MetaFLO to share how DusTech helps mining operations optimize resource use, reduce operating costs, and advance their sustainability goals. Our stand was located in the Cooper Pavilion at the French-Chilean Chamber of Commerce booth, Booth 168.
