Identification
DiCup® R/Luperox® DCP dicumyl peroxide
- DiCup® R/Luperox® DCP dicumyl peroxide is used as a high temperature crosslinker in rubber and plastics applications. Compounds containing DiCup® R/ Luperox® DCP dicumyl peroxide are normally are processed at temperatures up to 250°F (121°C) and can be cured at temperatures above 300°F (149°C). DiCup® R/Luperox® DCP dicumyl peroxide can be used also in the polymerization of expandable polystyrene as finisher and as synergist for fire retardant EPS applications.
Luperox® 101 polymer initiator
- Luperox® 101 polymer initiator is a technically pure material useful in viscosity modification of polypropylene and crosslinking of engineered rubber products. In addition to the pure liquid, dispersions of Luperox®101 on a solid inert filler like calcium carbonate or silica are also available.
Luperox® 101PP20, 101PP10 and 101PP7.5 viscosity modifier
- Luperox® 101PP20, 101PP10 and 101PP7.5 viscosity modifier is a 20%, 10%, or 7.5% active weight dispersion of Luperox® 101 polymer initiator on a polypropylene powder carrier. Luperox® 101PP20, 101PP10 and 101PP7.5 offers easy mixing in twin or single screw compounding for mixed or single streams of polyolefins, and recycled material.
Luperox® 101XL45 crosslinking peroxide
- Luperox® 101XL45 crosslinking peroxide is a 45% active dispersion of Luperox® 101 polymer initiator on a calcium carbonate filler. Luperox®101XL45 is useful for the curing of silicone rubbers, fluoroelastomers, and engineered rubber compounds under standard conditions above 170°C.
Luperox® 801
- Luperox® 801 and Luperox® D-16 liquid peroxides can be used as an alternative to solid crosslinking products, in applications where solids are too challenging to work with like polymer absorbtion.
Luperox® DI polymer initiator
- Luperox® DI polymer initiator is a room-temperature stable peroxide, available pure or diluted in mineral spirits. Pure material with an anti-static additive is available in Europe. Common applications include polymerization of ethylene or acrylics polymers at high temperatures. Luperox® DI has also been shown to act as a cetane enhancer in diesel fuels.
Luperox® DTA polymer initiator
- Luperox® DTA polymer initiator is useful for high temperature polymerization of solvent-borne acrylic resins for coatings, mainly used in automotive or industrial markets. t-Amyl peroxides yield acrylics with good polydispersity and lower solution viscosity as the radicals produced are more selective. This reduces hydrogen abstraction (crosslinking) of the polymer species.
VulCup® R crosslinking peroxide
- VulCup® R peroxide is bis-peroxide for crosslinking engineered rubber products and elastomers. VulCup® R peroxide also offers a high degree of scorch safety during compounding and leaves very little odor in sulfur-free vulcanizates. As compared with dicumyl peroxide, users can often reach the same crosslinking effect even while using 40% less peroxide in the formulation.
