Austral present at the LatinPack 2022

LatinPack Chile 2022, to be held on June 29-30 and July 1 2022, at Espacio Riesco Santiago will be the meeting point for the packaging industry and its value chain for the exchange of knowledge, presentation of new technologies and research, new materials and inputs, services, clean energy, waste management, networking and commercial exchange between industry players. LatinPack Chile 2022 is organized by the Chilean Packaging Center - CENEM around the theme "Creating a sustainable world".

The objective is to expose to the public, academics, authorities, businessmen and the whole society the benefits of a competitive industry, high technology and professionalism prepared for the challenges of integrating consumption and production that protects the environment, promoting a circular economy and sustainable resource management considering eco-design and support for the implementation of the REP Law.

As participant of LatinPack Chile 2022, Austral Chemicals will exhibit its innovative and sustainable solutions for the packaging sector, together with 2 of its partners.

Sukano Polymers, a company headquartered in Switzerland, will present its advances in additives for compostable materials and PET recycling. It is an expert in the production of additives for PLA processing and improving the flexibility of compostable finished products.  In addition, it has a line focused on increasing the use of recycled PET, for example, additives to reduce yellowing, increase intrinsic viscosity (IV), improve impact resistance in cold applications and scratch resistance.

Macro Engineering & Technology of Canada is a producer of film and sheet extrusion systems specializing in barrier film lines and extrusion-to-order machinery. Macro's barrier coextrusion lines are distinguished by their versatility in dealing with different and complex structures. Macro will present advances in coextrusion heads and screws.

Within its business for the packaging world, Austral will be presenting PLA or Poly Lactic Acid (Luminy®), a bio-based and compostable polymer from TotalEnergies - Corbion group, surface treatments for glass containers (Certincoat®, Tegoglas®) and protective coatings for returnable containers (Kercoat®, Opticoat®), all solutions from Arkema group as well as Lucobit's additives for recycling and improving PP and PE properties.

Macro Engineering and Sukano Polymers will present their solutions through technical talks organized by the fair on June 29th at 15:00 and 16:00 respectively.
