Austral Chemicals is appointed as Roadway Solutions sole agent and distributor for asphalt concretes in Chile, starting October 1st, 2019. Austral Chemicals is already a leading emulsifier supplier for bitumen emulsions in Chile.
Roadway Solutions is a French company created to develop innovative products for pavements. The products are targeted towards both achieving higher performance and making them easier for contractors to use. All products are delivered in granule / pellet form and can be added directly into asphalt mixing plant. The product line includes elastomeric and polyolefin additive, anti-kerosene additive and pigments for asphalt concretes (hotmix). Christophe Jacob, Director of Austral believes that the positive decision taken by the MOP (Ministry de Obras Publicas) to follow PG norms from the USA will give asphalt producers, road construction companies and road concessionaries new development perspectives. “The products manufactured by Roadway Solutions are recyclable and contractors can use the exact quantity they need and reduce wastage. They are well suited for countries with very high or low temperatures like Chile. Because of their pellet form they are adapted for small projects, projects far away from binder plants and are a great solution to boost a binder on site”, said Christophe Jacob.
